1) To remove the existing dormer roof from the existing house and construct two storey section over the existing footprint while leaving in place the existing roof over the old cottage section which is on the right hand side when viewed from the public road. 2) To construct a single storey plus two storey extension to the rear. 3) To demolish the existing steel shed to the rear with a floor area of 50.68 sq.m. 4) To upgrade the existing entrance to the requirements of the Roads Department of Carlow County Council. 5) To decommission and remove the existing septic tank and replace it with a secondary effluent system with a soil polishing filter. 6) Construct a domestic type garage to the right hand side of the site as viewed from the public road. 7) All ancillary groundworks associated with the above. The existing house has a ground floor area of 95.67 sq.m and a first floor area of 68.64 sq.m. The proposed works will add a further 98.90 sq.m to the ground floor and a further 130.02 sq.m to the first floor.
