The planning application also seeks minor amendments to the dimensions of the approved substation and increase in the operational lifespan of the project from 25 years to 40 years. The proposed development site is located within the townland Carrickabane, Finnea, Co. Cavan approximately 4km to the south of Kilcogy and 1.5km from Lough Sheelin. Access to the site is proposed from the R194 which connects the towns of Granard and Ballyjamesduff. Significant further information and revised plans have been submitted.
