The development will consist/consists of a change of use of the former HQS Property, Market Street, Skibbereen to a Hardware, DIY, Provender, Building Materials and Garden Furniture retail centre. The scope of the permission to include (a) part demolition of the existing property on the eastern and southern sides (b) erection of new two storey extension to the East and South facades of the existing structure (c) general re-cladding, minor alterations to the existing North and West facades and erection of new perimeter 2.7m high screen fencing, walls and railings to site boundaries. The floor area of the proposed extension is 1500 sq. metres, which includes a new mezzanine floor to be erected within the building.
