The proposed development in County Cork, between the Cork-Kerry county boundary north-west of mast structure number 173 and mast structure number 233, is located in the townlands of Glencollins Upper, Lackanastooka, Tooreenglanahee, Meentyflugh, Knockeenadallane, Doonasleen North, Doonasleen South, Doonasleen East, Ummeraboy East, Glantane More, Knockduff Upper, Knockduff Lower, Mullaghroe North, Derragh, Knockane, Lislehane, Lissaniska, Ahane Beg, Coolykeerane, Shanaknock, Claraghatlea North, Claragh More, Inchileigh, Mountleader, Geararoe and Cloghboola More. The proposed development in Co. Cork comprises of the renewal and alteration of a total of 61 existing mast structures, including foundation upgrade works and restringing of the existing overhead line with new conductor. The proposed development also includes all associated and ancillary works including, comprising or relating to permanent and temporary construction and excavation, involving constructio of temporary guard poles, the construction and reinstatement of temporary access tracks, improvement and reinstatement of new temporary entrances, widening of existing entrances, temporary silt fencing, temporary silt traps, temporary culverts, temporary clear span bridging, and the clearance of vegatation at various locations along the route to facilitate the proposed principle development. The proposed development will be faciltitated by the storage of construction materials and associated and ancillary activities, at existing hard-standing yards. These 6 yards (2 in Co. Cork and 4 in Co. Kerry) are located in the vicinity of the overhead line, in the townlands of Lislehane and Liscahane. No works or change of use, are proposed in theses existing yards and as such they do not form part of the proposed development.
