Work will include replacement of the shop front, repair to granite string course and related first floor brickwork dislodged and of unsound construction caused by conversion of former brick wall with pair of sash windows to shop front. Works will also include the cleaning and repointing of brickwork, cleaning and repairs to granite fascia arch and door surrounds, replacement of timber sash windows with new double glazed to match existing. Structural repairs will comprise the removal of the modern shopfront and rebuilding basement facade underneath the shop front including the former basement area and window openings to match existing at ground level to prevent water ingress to the basement, the refurbishment of downpipes and hoppers, replacement of missing fanlight, removal of cables and addition of Steiner School signage on the curved granite fascia.
