AA Screening report lacks information on in-combination effects of the entire project and fails to assess potential links between a site drainage ditch and European sites. Planning Authority not satisfied development would not adversely affect integrity of nearby Natura 2000 sites.
Objective NH15, Fingal Development Plan 2017-2023Based on the information contained in the Appropriate Assessment Screening report (as revised), specifically the absence of information relating to the in-combination effects of the entire project, and the potential connectivity between the drainage ditch on the subject site and watercourses in the wider area and the absence of an assessment of any potential links between this drainage ditch and European sites, the Planning Authority is not satisfied that the proposed development individually, or in combination with other plans or projects would not adversely affect the integrity of nearby European sites.
Ecology
Deficiencies in AA Screening Statement mean it has not been satisfactorily demonstrated that the development would not result in significant adverse impacts on Natura 2000 sites. Material contravention of Development Plan Objective.
Objective NH15, Fingal Development Plan 2017-2023Objective NH15 of the Fingal Development Plan 2017-2023 states 'strictly protect areas designated or proposed to be designated as Natura 2000 sites...'.
