GrantedDecided 24 June 2025Fingal County Council

F24A/0905E: The proposal consists of accessibility and upgrade works to the pier which will link the ferry gangway area, pier head and breakwater areas at the Northernmost end of the West Pier. The works include the excavation of portions of existing mixed asphalt, concrete and granite paved areas along with repair and upgrade of existing drainage and ducting, re-laying to falls and grouting / pointing of existing historic cobble sets (1250 sq. metres). Accessible walkways will be created in silver granite tones with contrasting yellow granite toned infill borders for visually impaired and mobility challenged persons along with the installation of small rectangular paving sets to provide a smooth surface. The new walkway sets will be the same style and colour as the existing silver colour footway paving currently used in the Harbour which will provide visual continuity.
