The site contains elements of the Loughrea town defences with form part of national monument RMP No. GA105-150. Ministerial Consent C000910 by the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht has issued pertaining to this application under Section 14 of the National Monuments Act 1930 as amended by Section 5 of the National Monuments (Amendment) Act 2004. Gross floor space of proposed works: 486.6 sqm
