THE RIVER GADDAGH IS PART OF A DESIGNATED SITE, THE KILLARNEY NATIONAL PARK, MACGILLYCUDDY REEKS AND CARAGH RIVER CATCHMENT, CASTLEMAINE HARBOUR SAC AND KILLARNEY NATIONAL PARK SPA. THE APPLICATION IS ACCOMPANIED BY AN APPROPRIATE ASSESSMENT SCREENING REPORT AND NATURA IMPACT STATEMENT
