The proposed RDC will have pedestrian and vehicular access solely from the proposed new distributor road, which comprises alterations to the previously permitted Newbridge South Orbital Relief Road (NSOR) route (Kildare County Council Reg. Refs. 02/1373 and 10/45) incorporating approximately1.5km carriageway leading from Greatconnell (Connell Drive) to a new roundabout junction with the R445 regional road at Oldconnell, landscaping, lighting, attenuation and drainage works. A c.400m stretch of the R445 regional road will be upgraded as part of the proposed development including junction upgrades and partial realignment.
