The construction of approx. 2.7km of new canal section, 1.6m deep with average bed width of 8m and surface water width of 18m. The provision of a vehicular towpath and pedestrian pathway access along the canal section. The construction of a new road bridge and road layout at the site of the existing bridge known as Drumsloe Swing Bridge. The refurbishment of the original canal bridge known as Kellys Bridge at Clonlura, including the alterations to the existing under-path to heritage approved standards. Construction of a mooring at Teehill (Clones Town).
