SD02A/0710: Extension of 560m2 at the Naas Road frontage and providing an outdoor garden centre of 1,450m2 to add to the existing 3880m2. Retail Warehouse building thus creating a new unit of 5,908m2. The existing mezzanine level within the building, covering 1940m2 at present will be removed with the exception of an office area of 108m2. In addition permission is sought to build an extension of 1,020m2 to the North West at the existing building for occupation as a separate Retail Warehouse. Permission is sought to relocate westwards the existing vehicular entrance along Killeen Road. Permission is also sought for boundary treatment, revisions to existing elevations, new signage and associated external works including relocation of service yard. The development will include the demolition of the former Harry Ramsdens building and the use of its area for car parking. The Courts & Ramsdens sites have at present 271 car parking spaces and this will be increased by 82 additional spaces in the new arrangement. The new car parking area will extend into a parcel of waste ground at the corner of the Naas Road and Killeen Road.
