SD04A/0002: Development comprising alterations and extensions to apartment Block A to provide for an additional 10 apartment in already permitted development under Reg. Refs. S99A/0269, S01A/0070 and S01A/0071. Block A as permitted comprises a 4/5 storey over basement building with 43 apartments. The proposed additional 10 units for which permission is now being sought are to be located in a new floor to be inserted at fourth floor level, which will have the effect of raising the overall height of the structure to 5/6 storeys. The additional apartments will compromise 8 No. 1 bedroom and 2 No. 2 bedrroon units. Block A will now comprise a total of 53 residential units of which 41 will be one bedroom apartments and 12 will be two bedroom apartments. Permission is also sought for site development and landscape works, and a revised basement layout to accommodate additional car parking spaces. Vehicular access will be via a permitted access (reg. ref. S99A/0269) off Monastery Road. A concurrent application for alterations and extensions to Block B within the same site, is also being made. The overall site within which Block A is located amounts to some 0.98ha.
