SD04A/0080: The retention and completion of works to the Tower House, Walled Stable Yard, Outbuildings including the former Coach House and former Stable Buildings and for the retention of the two storey link block between the Stable Building and the Coach House. The works for the completion consist externally of modifications to window and door opes together with the installation of window and door joinery, to the coach house, the stable building and to the link block. The retentions include structural floors and stud partitions to the Tower with appropriate amendments to alterations to window/door opes. They also include the retention of the internal partitioning to the Coach House and Stable Building and the partial retention and completion of the link block. The revised plans will facilitate the provision of 9 no. apartments and the amendment to the main elevation of the link block in order to match finish and detailing with that of existing Protected Structure. The revised plans include for the omission of 2 no. apartments from the original proposal and the creation of 2 walled gardens as private space for occupants at the two ends of the retained portion of the link block. The building had been previously utilised as staff accommodation since 1990. The proposed works are to buildings which are listed as Protected Structures. The Tower is a Recorded Monument (*RPM No. 0210341) and the site is within an area of archaeological potential.
