SD08A/0309: The demolition of the existing 23.5msq single storey non original sacristy extension and the construction of a new 45.5msq single storey sacristy extension in the same location; the re-pointing with lime mortar, repairs to the stone work and the repair of the lime based render to the other elevations; the repair of all cast iron rainwater goods and the replacement of any decayed sections with new cast iron elements to match existing, upgrade the existing concrete surface around the church building with a new hard and soft landscaping treatment; the modification of the entrances to the church to faciliate level access through ramping of the proposed external surfaces; removal of the existing internal draught lobby to the side entrance (north -east transept) and its replacement with a new enlarged glazed entrance lobby and the fitting of a new door leaf to match existing at the entrance to the day chapel (south west elevation)- it is proposed to lower the floor level of the day chapel to facilitate level access; the replacement of the existing non original front door with a new door designed to be in keepiing with the original charactor of the church and to match the existing original side door (north east transept); the installation of a new wheelchair ramp from the transept to the sacristy, internal redocoration in muted tones/shades to support the architecture of the building, including painting of ceilling, walls and wall panelling and redecoration of the shrine area; the removal of the existing non original organ gallery and staircase and the construction of a new larger choir gallery with staircase and wheelchair accessible platform lift; existing internal timber entrance lobby to be retained; the construction of a new off street surface carpark and set down area to the rear and side of the church accommodation 200 cars with associated landscaping, external lighting and drainage, accessed from Garter Lane via proposed new access and vehicular gates (Protected Structure).
