SD09A/0343: The construction of 3 no. third level educational buildings and outdoor playing pitches. The development will consist of: (a) 1 no. Engineering Building - a 3 storey building with a maximum building height of c. 19.5 metres (including c.3.0 metres for plant at roof level) and at an overall height of +c. 111.25 m OD (ground level at +c.91.75 m OD) with a maximum gross floor area (GFA) of c. 5,900 sq.m; (b) 1 no. Multi Purpose Centre Building - a building of up to 3 storeys, with a maximum overall building height of c. 19.5 metres (including c.3.0 metres for plant at roof level) and at an overall height of +c. 111.25 m OD (ground level at +c.91.75 m OD) and with a maximum GFA of c. 3,200 sq.m; (c) 1 no. Tourism, Hospitality and Culinary Arts Building - a building of up to 3 storeys, with a maximum overall building height of c. 19.5 metres (including c.3.0 metres for plant at roof level) and at an overall height of +c. 111.25 m OD (ground level at +c.91.75 m OD) and with a maximum GFA of c. 4,050 sq.m. and (d) Playing pitches comprising 1 no. all-weather surface pitch with associated terraced spectator standing area, 1 no. grass pitch and 2 no. tennis courts, all with associated floodlights. The maximum total gross floor area of the 3 no. buildings is c.13,150 sq.m. The proposed development will also provide for all ancillary landscaping and site development works. The proposed development will be served by 1 no. existing vehicular access from Old Blessington Road, and by 2 no. additional vehicular accesses to the campus, which form part of a separate planning application for site enabling works within ITT campus, which has been submitted to South Dublin County Council (Reg. Ref. SD09A/0327 refers). These enabling works include upgrade works to the internal road network within the campus, including the provision of new vehicular accesses off Belgard Road and off Greenhills Road at this site of c. 4.882 hectares at the Institute Technology Tallaght (ITT), Tallaght, Dublin 24. The application site is centrally located within the ITT campus, which is generally bounded to the west by Belgard Road, to the north by the grounds of the industrial buildings accessed off Airton Road, to the east by Greenhills Road and to the south by Old Blessington Road and the grounds of The Priory, Tallaght which forms part of Tallaght Village Architectural Conservation Area (ACA), and which includes the Protected Structures of Tallaght Castle Gate (Ref. 269), Saint Mary's Dominican Priory (Ref. 270), and Saint Mary's Dominican Church (Ref. 273).
