SD09A/0457: Proposed alterations and additions to recently approved proposals, Ref. SD08A/0557 for Kiltipper Woods Care Home, to comply with new guideline standards as contained in the Health Information Quality Authority (HIQA) latest national care standards document for care homes for the elderly. The additions to the approved extension include: additional fire escape stairs from first floor at south wing; rearrangement and enlargement of staff training room to first floor; addition of ground floor treatment room, smoking lounge and therapy rooms, and Occupational Therapy Office adjacent to Hydrotherapy Pool. The additions to the approved existing building are all at ground floor level and include: extensions to 7 no. double bedrooms to provide ensuites; splitting and extension of 4 bed ward to create 2 no. double bedrooms with ensuites; addition of sun lounge to courtyard, therapy room and therapy office to south east corner; and coffee shop next to main kitchens for visitor welfare. The works also include for revised hard and soft landscape and drainage proposals.
