Demolition of O’Connor’s Nenagh Supermarket Shopping Centre & associated structures (comprising 2 no. buildings totalling 6920.5 sqm Gross Floor Area with 2800 sqm Net Retail Sales Area, & ranging in height between 1 & 2 storeys), construction of new mono-pitched Licenced Supermarket with ancillary infrastructure & associated site development works (all totalling 2684 sqm GFA with 1420 Net Retail Sales Area ranging in height equivalent from 1 to 2 storeys) at location of demolished buildings, construction of a separate commercial/retail building with ancillary infrastructure & associated site development works (total 370 sqm GFA with height equivalent of 2 storeys) the change of use of existing LidI Licenced Discount Foodstore from a Licenced Discount Foodstore to a shop (use as defined within Article 5(1) of the Planning & Development Regs 2001-2015) with a GFA of 1255 sqm & a Net Retail Sales Area of 1035 sqm, at this site of approx. 1.814 ha (comprising the O’Connor’s Nenagh Supermarket Shopping Centre & Nenagh Lidl Licenced Discount Foodstore). Construction of proposed new mono-pitched Licenced Supermarket (2,651 sq m GFA) comprises of: Retail sales area with ancillary off-licence use (Net Retail Sales Area of 1420 sqm), bakery, public facilities (lobby & toilets), office, ent. pod, storage (cold storage), stairs & lift to 1st floor, delivery warehouse area, at ground floor level; Staff welfare (toilets, change rooms & staff room), roof terrace, office, IT rm, plant rm, stairs & lift from ground floor, at 1st floor level; 2 no. build mounted corporate internally illuminated signs; 2 no. free standing internally illuminated totem pole signs at entrances; 3 no. wall mounted externally illuminated poster panel display; 1 no. wall mounted externally illuminated info display board; 2 no. finger post directional signs; 1 no. trolley bay covered structure (33 sqm GFA); 180 no. surface car park spaces (10 no. disabled, 6 no. parent & child, & 164 no. regular); 20 no. bicycle park spaces; Primary vehicular & pedestrian access to proposed development via a new site entrance from Martyr’s Rd; Pedestrian access to proposed development will be further enhanced via a plaza area along the northern boundary adjacent to the new site entrance from Martyr’s Rd & Boundary treatments, hard & soft landscaping, services (incl. attenuation) & all other ancillary & assoc. site development works above & below ground level
