Development to the north of South Quay will comprise a general area for the berthing of vessels to service the offshore windfarm. A pontoon is proposed along with up to 4 cranes for loading & unloading of vessels. Shore side storage is also proposed including 2 shipping containers, a bunded waste oil tank, a grey water tank, a treatment unit/equipment kiosk & 2 bunded fuel storage tanks. A blackwater tank is proposed below ground. Parking for 6 vehicles to the north & west of the site. A flood wall. Vehicular and pedestrian entrance gates onto South Quay & pedestrian emergency entrance to the west are proposed. Proposed to construct a ramp on the section of South Quay to tie in with flood wall. Access between the areas to the north & south of South Quay will be via a raised ramp along South Quay with controlled crossing across South Quay. New paving at this location and to the west of the building. Wastewater on site will be stored underground and removed to a treatment plant. Also proposes the dredging of approx. 6,000m3 of material from the nearshore area to provide for navigational depth, berthing area and manoeuvring area for vessels. Landscaping, utilities & other services proposed throughout the site & all other associated works. Applicant seeks 10 years in which to construct the development.
