The proposed development will comprise: 1)Continuance of use of the existing quarry previously permitted under p ref 09/4772 (ABP PL04.236416) which consists of ' extension of the area of excavation from 1.804 hectares to 4.295 hectares and for the additional uses of (1) blasting techniques for rock breaking and (2) crushing of excavated rock using mobile crushing equipment'. The proposed development is within an overall site area of 5.38 hectares and is for a period of 8 years to allow the previously permitted rock extraction to be completed. The appropriate period of p. ref. 09/4772 was extended by order dated 31/05/2018 under p. ref. 18/4883. 2) The development proposed seeks to utilize all existing permitted ancillary buildings and facilities for the duration of the proposed development; and 3) Final restoration works to be carried out over a 2- year period following final rock extraction to give an overall development life of 10 years.
