Site planning risk brief

For the ‘Continuance of Use’ of the existing Rahora Windfarm, permitted under An Bord Pleanála Ref. PL10.206373 and Kilkenny County Council Ref. 03/1117; amended under 07/2253 (repositioning of the 5 no. turbines and amended layout for the site roads); further amended under 08/595 (repositioning of turbine number T5, amended layout to the site roads and reduction in size of the control building). The windfarm was built in 2008/2009 and commissioned on 6th May 2009. The operating windfarm consists of five (5) wind turbines, an electrical control building and associated hardstanding areas and access roads. The grant of planning was to operate the windfarm for a period of twenty years from the date of commissioning. This application is to operate Rahora Windfarm for a further period.
