Alteration works to existing warehouse building (former Courtisan Carpets building) which is located within an Architectural Conservation Area. The works include the construction of a new truck access doorway with internal ramp (Located on Green’s Quay east elevation) together with new fire exit doors located on Green’s Quay and Store Street.

To amend the opening hours of the Aldi Store permitted under Cork County Council Planning Register Reference 14/05523 (An Bord Pleanála Ref. PL 04.244504). Specifically Condition 3 of the An Bord Pleanála Order which restricted the opening hours to 09.00 hours to 20.00 hours on Monday to Saturday and 10.00 hours to 19.00 hours on Sundays and public/bank holidays. It is proposed to amend the permitted opening hours to 09.00 hours to 22.00 hours on Monday to Friday and 09.00 hours to 21.00 hours on Saturday, Sunday and public/bank holidays. The application site is c.0.56 ha, located on New Catherine Street, Store Street, Green’s Quay and Lower Browne Street.

Change of use of existing workshop/store building to domestic dwelling, change existing ground floor window on New Catherine Street into new entrance door, replacement of existing ground floor windows and door, to construct a new two storey side extension along with new parking area and all associated site works

The retention of the alteration, namely the sub-division of the existing ground floor retail unit (153sqm), to form 2 no. separate retail units.

Permission to replace existing scout hall roof with a new flat roof, along with all associated site works.

Restoration and alteration of Tynte’s Castle and permission for change of use from use as a vacant warehouse to a dwelling house. This is a protected structure RPS1202 and a recorded monument CO067-02908. This work will include (i) alterations to internal layouts including the insertion of new timber stud walls (ii) restoration, repair work, and minor alterations to existing walls including lime-rendering the castle walls (iii) insertion of an additional timber floor at third floor level along with an associated new stairs (iv) reinstating previously closed up window openings in external walls (v) alterations to existing annex to the rear including creation of a new gable window to the rear (vi) insertion of rooflights to both the castle and annex (vii)new connection to public sewer and (vii) all ancillary site works.
