Site planning risk brief

The construction of a road to accommodate a land train and walking tours extending into the Garden Stillhouse Area and consists of the carrying out of works to a protected structure. The proposed works will include alterations to 2 no. sections of the northern boundary wall of the Distillery site to provide (i) access to the Garden Stillhouse Area consisting of the construction of a new ramp, stairs and wheelchair lift and (ii) an emergency evacuation route for the land train. the proposed development will include a new refuge structure, fencing, landscaping including a berm and all ancillary site development works. The proposed development is for modifications to an establishment to which the Major Accident Directive applies

Retention of existing 2 no. adjoining classroom units, hard and soft landscaping, and all other associated ancillary site works at Midleton College, School-Land, Midleton, Co.Cork which is in the curtilage of Midleton College which is a protected structure (RPS No.10)

Retention of 4 no. pot still vents and 4 no. associated lightening masts to the roof of an existing still house. The proposed development is for modifications to an establishment to which the Major Accident Directive applies and is for the purposes of activity requiring an integrated pollution control license [Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) License].

Installation of a separate prefabricated modular building (to be used as a locker room) and ancillary site works

Permission for the retention of existing 6.no single storey prefabricated modular pods (for use as isolation units in accordance with covid-19 guidelines for schools) and all ancillary site works.

Change of use of an existing outbuilding from store into a chapel/meditation space along with permission for restoration of the building, construction of a single storey extension to the rear, and all other ancillary site works. The outbuilding is in the curtilage of Midleton College which is a Protected Structure (RPS no. 02517).
