The proposed works relate to ac 2.9km long section of existing 20kv overhead electricity line including a) the replacement of 33 no. pole structures b) 4 no. new pole structures c) the removal of 1 no. pole structure d) the installation of 1 no. unit sub ( a ground mounted transformer) e) upgrade works including the restringing of conductor along the length of the line with 2 phase conductor replaced by 3 phase conductor, the installation of stays, replacement of existing equipment e.g. headgear etc and the installation of additional equipment as required and the development of a new c 0.8 km section of underground cable with associated works including the provision of joint bays. Replacement poles will be constructed at or immediately adjacent to the existing structures that they will replace with the exception of two poles which will be relocated at a distance of c.27m and 26m from their current locations. Replacement and new poles will have a maximum height of 12m above ground and be similar in appearance to existing poles. Permission is sought for all site clearance activity including timber cutting under the existing line for safety clearance and temporary works including the creation of access ways etc. Planning Permission is sought for a (10) year period.
