The proposed development will comprise of a two storey community nursing unit/ residential care unit (4,476sqm total Gross Floor Area) comprising 50 en-suite bedrooms with associated resident accommodation including dining rooms, kitchenettes, day rooms, sun rooms, activities room, quiet rooms, resident areas, with a family overnight room, visitor’s room, treatment room, and a hairdresser salon, etc.; internal courtyard garden with two first floor terraces; associated back of house areas including a production kitchen, laundry rooms, staff accommodation and ancillary offices; and the removal of 55 metres of the stone garden wall from the rear vegetable garden (within the curtilage of a Protected Structure Ref. No. 6+7). Permission is also sought for associated landscaping, site services, waste marshalling compound (45sqm Gross Floor Area), generator and an ESB sub-station (25sqm Gross Floor Area) and all associated site and development works. There are no works to the Protected Structure proposed in this application.
