For amendments to the transformer compound development permitted under Galway County Council Planning Register Reference 25/60096 as follows: Modifications to the consented transformer compound palisade fence to include a single pedestrian access gate; construction of an interface (marshalling) kiosk and plinth located at the boundary between the transformer compound and the existing Cloon 110kV substation (interface kiosk to be enclosed by 2.6m tall palisade fence including a gate); construction of approx. 15m (length) of 1.5m wide walkway comprising of crushed limestone on geotextile, to connect Cloon substation fenced enclosure with the interface (marshalling) kiosk fenced enclosure; approx. 50m of 110kV underground electrical cable connecting the transformer compound to the existing Cloon Substation; construction of 6.5m high x 13m long fire wall within compound and; all associated site development, drainage, access and reinstatement works. A Natura Impact Statement will be submitted to the Planning Authority with the application. This development is covered by the provisions of the Renewable Energy Directive III (Directive (EU) 2023/2413) and it is important to note that the planning application may be subject to section 34D of the Planning Development Act 2000, as amended. When a notice issues in accordance with section 34D(b), the provisions of article 26A of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 to 2025 shall apply
