Blackrock Clinic Limited intends to apply for planning permission for a development at this site at Blackrock Hospital, Rock Road, Blackrock, Co. Dublin. The proposed development will comprise of the following: Removal of 2 no. existing temporary cabins at upper ground floor level along with associated canopy. Construction of a new, permanent 2 storey extension located to the eastern side of the Main Hospital building. The extension will facilitate A new Cardiology Department and “Eye Centre” (associated with the Department of Ophthalmology) located at ground floor level. The removal of 2 existing bedrooms (to provide a connecting corridor) and the creation of 14 no. new ensuite bedrooms in the extension, resulting in a net gain of 12 no. additional new patient bedrooms. Reconfiguration of 2 no. existing bedrooms for access to the 1st floor extension from the existing main hospital building.
