Planning precedent report

Permission is sought for the installation of 10,400m2 of Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Panels on metal frames at ground level to the east of the campus, an electrical equipment enclosure, fencing, landscaping, underground trenches, and associated site works. This application relates to development which comprises an activity which holds an Industrial Emissions Directive Licence (Reg. No. P0007-03). The application relates to the provision of an establishment to which the Major Accident Regulations apply.

The construction of 2 no. single storey electrical buildings raised approximately 1.5m above ground level, a transformer yard, fencing, underground trenches, landscaping, and other associated site works.

The development consists of retention permission for a 52 sqm detached single storey waste drop off and segregation structure at the north of the site. (A Seveso site.)

Retention permission for a 67 sqm detached single storey fire tender garage located at the south of the site. (A Seveso site)

Retention permission for: (1.) 214 sqm detached single storey office structure at the west of the site; (2.) 42 sqm detached single storey office structure at the north of the site. (A Seveso Site)

The development will consist of an extension and alteration to the existing contractor's compound to include an extended stone and grave contractor's car parking area, the addition of single-storey and two storey site cabins with external stair access and landings, to include site offices, WC's, disabled WC and changing areas, welfare facilities, canteen, workshops, storage and all associated site works.
