The development consists of retention of roofed bar server, seating, smoking area, canopies, decking, mock streetscape along the south eastern façade, together with all associated site works to the side and rear yard area (south-east) of the main building and Public House. Permission for development which consists of Retention planning permission is sought by Patrick Lonergan at O’ Connells Bar, 8, Eyre Square, Galway City (a protected structure – Ref: 3809) for a beer garden and associated structures. A beer garden was previously approved on site on a temporary basis under Pl. Reg. Ref. No.’s 09/313 & 17/182. The development consists of retention of roofed bar server, seating, TV, smoking area, canopies, decking, mock streetscape, enclosed ancillary food servers & DJ booth, together with all associated site works to the side and rear yard area (south-east) of the main building and Public House

Permission is sought for the development which will consist of A) Planning permission for the continued use of the existing outdoor seating/dining area previously granted Planning Ref. 15/27 on a temporary basis which is due to expire on 23rd June 2020. B) Planning retention for the existing timber counter structure to the rear of the outdoor seating/dining area. C) Planning permission to use the existing outdoor timber counter structure as a bar serving facility for the existing outdoor seating/dining area. D) Planning permission to use the existing ground floor toilets to the rear of the outdoor seating/dining area. E) Planning permission to play amplified music/sound to a limited level of 84dB(A).

Permission is sought for the development of a protected structure (ref: 3809) which will consist of revisions and conservation works to external front wall façade to the existing Beer Garden. The development consists of (1) Retention of removal of cement render (2) Permission to apply a "lime wash" render to the masonry wall (3) Re-pointing of original cut stone quoins and (4) Minor repairs to shopfront, together with all associated site works
