To amend development permitted under pl. ref. no. 20/1085 & ABP Ref. 310144-21 for 6 no. aeration cells (each cell is 6.0m x 4.8m wide x 4.5m high) and associated air blowers; 2 no. anoxic cells (each cell is 4.5m long x 4.8m wide x 5.0m high); 1 no. recirculation pumping station; 1 no. return activated sludge / waste activated sludge pumping station; 1 no. selector tank of size 2m x 4m x 4.5m; 1 no. sludge holding tank with a diameter of c. 5m; provision of lighting columns of max. 5m height; entrance gate to wastewater treatment plant (WWTP); solar panels (31 sqm) on the west side of sludge drying reed beds; and c.400m of 150mm diameter gravity foul sewer to be laid from the mart entrance to a permitted manhole on the access road to the existing wastewater treatment plant. The development will also consist of the following amendments to permitted works: Relocation and amendment to permitted 2 no. final settlement tanks with a diameter of c.10m; relocation of the permitted inlet works; relocation and amendments to permitted attenuation tank and associated pipework; relocation of permitted chemical storage tank c.5m³; relocation of permitted control building and provision of solar panels (62 sqm) on roof; relocation of permitted ESB substation; relocation of permitted generator; relocation and amendments to design of permitted sludge drying reed beds to provide 6 no. of size 8.25m x 25m; relocation of the permitted effluent flume for flow measurement, 2m wide and 4.5m in length; amendments to permitted pipework; minor amendment to permitted internal roadway; amendment to the permitted outfall pipe at the discharge location to the Castlegar River by installing a headwall; and omission of 2 no. permitted primary settlement tanks, 2 no. permitted biological filters and forward feed pumps. The proposed development and proposed amendments include all associated ancillary works. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared with respect to the proposed development and is included with this application

For a 10 year planning permission for upgrades to wastewater facilities, consisting of the following; decommission existing wastewater treatment plant in the townland of Castlegar and convert to a wastewater pumping station comprising demolition of existing tanks, biological filters and control building, and construction of below ground wet well, chambers, above ground control kiosk, wet kiosk, lifting gantry, hardstanding, standby generator and associated pipework. Construction of a new wastewater treatment plant comprising inlet works, tanks, biological filters, sludge drying reed beds, associated pipework, control and welfare building, standby generator, car parking, hardstanding, landscaping and fencing. Below ground rising main to transfer wastewater from the proposed pumping station to the proposed wwtp site. Below ground gravity outfall to transfer treated wastewater from the wwtp to the Castlegar river and all associated site works. This application is accompanied by a Natura Impact Statement. For the construction of 36 no. residential units. The development will consist of: - 16 no. 3 bed 2 storey terraced houses in 4 no. Type B blocks, - 4 no. 4 bed 2 storey semi-detached houses in 2 no. Type C blocks, - 4 no. part 3 bed and part 4 bed, 2 storey semi-detached houses in 2 no. Type D blocks, - 10 no. 3 bed 2 storey semi-detached houses in 5 no. Type E blocks, - 1 no. 4 bed 2 storey detached house (Type G), - 1 no. 4 bed 2 storey detached house (Type G1). The proposed development includes; - Provision for pedestrian and vehicular connection onto the R358 College road, via the permitted/existing access road and junction to the south, - The proposed development includes for connection to public mains water supply and wastewater arrangements as agreed with Irish Water, public and private open space areas, footpaths, bicycle parking, public lighting, landscaping, wildlife corridor and boundary treatments, together with all associated site works and services.
