Construct a raised platform walkway / cycleway from the Dinis car park to the Torc (Cardiac Hill) car park, located between the N71 roadway and the Muckross lake shore, inclusive of signage and ancillary site works. A Natura Impact Statement has been prepared in respect of the proposed development and accompanies this application

The construction of a nature education centre and all ancillary site development works. The proposed development will consist of: (i) The proposed development includes: (i) The demolition of existing shed structures; (ii) The change of use and conversion of former stable building to a nature education centre to include classrooms, science labs and supporting uses, including office, cloak room, sanitary facilities. The proposed development also provides for stores and plant rooms, pavilion structure, bat house, and glass house; (iii) Integrated constructed wetland, surface water, wastewater and water infrastructure, including decommissioning / removal of 2 no. existing septic tanks and provision for 1 no. replacement septic tank; (iv) All ancillary site development works which include bin and bike stores, car parking, lighting, signage, and landscaping works; (v) The proposed development will be accessed from existing site entrance onto the N71 with no modification to entrances proposed. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared and will be submitted to the Planning Authority with the application.

CARRY OUT ALTERATIONS AND REFURBISHMENT WORKS TO THE GROUND AND FIRST FLOOR AREAS OF THE EXISTING STABLE BUILDING, WHICH CURRENTLY CONTAINS THE HOUSE TOUR FACILITIES (TICKET OFFICE, PUBLIC TOILETS, EXHIBITION AREA, TOUR RECEPTION AND TOUR OPERATIONS OFFICES). THE PROPOSED WORKS WILL CONSIST OF 1) THE REMOVAL OF AN EXISTING INTERNAL STAIRS, PUBLIC TOILETS, INTERNAL PARTITION WALLS AT BOTH GROUND AND FIRST FLOOR LEVEL. 2) THE BLOCKING UP OF INTERNAL OPENINGS, 3) THE FORMING OF A NEW OPENING IN THE FIRST FLOOR 4) REMOVAL OF 1 NO. EXTERNAL GLAZED SCREEN, TOGETHER WITH THE REMOVAL AND BLOCKING OF 2 NO. EXTERNAL DOORS OPENINGS, ALL OF WHICH TO FACILITATE THE PROPOSED REFURBISHMENT WORKS CONSISTING OF A) THE PROVISION OF 2 NO. NEW INTERNAL ACCESS STAIRS B) THE PROVISION OF NEW INTERNAL WALLS AND DOORS. C) THE PROVISION OF NEW PUBLIC TOILETS. D) THE PROVISION OF NEW EXTERNAL GLAZED SCREEN AND DOOR. E) THE REFURBISHMENT AND ALTERATIONS TO FIRST FLOOR STAFF OFFICES AND TOILETS. F) THE PROVISION OF MANIFESTATION ON THE INTERNAL SIDE TO 5 NO. EXTERNAL WINDOWS, AND G) ALL ASSOCIATED SITE WORKS AND SERVICES
