Tirlán Ireland are applying for retention permission for the following existing development. The Existing Development consists of two existing groundwater abstraction wells and associated works for the purpose of water abstraction to serve the existing Facility's Milk Processing Plant (Planning Ref - 12/324). The Existing Development includes the following elements: Two lined boreholes drilled to the required depth; Submersible pumps and associated pipework and cabling; Surface features including cabinets containing the well head, valves and pipework and the electrical services and controls for the pumps; Gated security fencing each cabinet enclosure. An Appropriate Assessment Stage 1 - Screening Report and Environmental Impact Assessment Screening Report will be submitted with the Application.

And retention permission for development at the site situated at IDA Science and Technology Park, Gorteens, Belview, Port Road, County Kilkenny. The development will consist(s) of planning permission for a proposed new CHP plant, in lieu of boiler building from previously granted planning permission (ref 17153). Retention permission for reduction in size of Dairy Intake Building No.2 from previously granted planning permission (ref 17153), for mirroring of warehouse layout and partial increase in height of warehouse filling area from level +39.85m to +44.56m, for relocation of warehouse previously granted roof access stairs from north end of warehouse to west side of warehouse and the addition of a second warehouse roof access stairs located on the warehouse roof, for addition of cladding to evaporator stairs (previously an external stairs, planning ref 17153) and increase in height of stairs from previously approved level +47.05m (planning ref 17153) to +57.32m, for alterations to evaporator building layout including relocation of external silos from east side of building to south side, for relocation of RO Building previously granted under planning ref1419, for relocation of waste yard from the middle of the site to along the southern boundary. Amendment to previously approved planning ref 17153 for removal of extension to phase 1 Wet Process area, Cooling Tower No.2 and additional gas skid adjacent to Phase 1 Warehouse (planning ref 17153) Minor amendments to external plant and machinery, pipe bridges and ingredient silos and refrigeration plant. This application includes minor amendments to landscaping, internal road changes with lighting works, underground services, roof mounted items of plant and equipment with access platforms and ancillary external. The proposed planning permission and retentions and amendments are located within the existing site boundary of 51.01 acres (20.64 hectares approx.) This application relates to development which comprises of an activity which requires an Industrial Emissions Licence in accordance with the First Schedule of the EPA Act 1992 as amended.

To construct a screening berm at their existing Dairy Processing Facility. The development will consist of: A screening berm located on the North West corner of the site with associated landscape planting. The berm will adjacent to the North West corner having a total length of appoxinately 227m and will rise to circa 4m above existing ground level. The proposed planting scheme has been informed by the existing flora and will blend and match with the existing landscape. The proposed berm and planting will be fully located within the existing site boundary of 51.01 acres (20.64 hectares approx.) This application complements the existing development which comprises of an activity which requires an Industrial Emissions Licence in accordance with the First Schedule of the EPA Act 1992 as amended.

For a seven year planning permission for a Continental Cheese manufacturing plant. The development will include a part single storey and part two storey production building approximately 14 metres high with intakes, processing plant and equipment, packing, stores, dispatch, offices, laboratories, utilities and personnel facilities; a 10 bay milk intake and cream dispatch building approximately 11 metres high and associated plant and equipment with office, milk testing and personnel facilities; storage silos up to 28 metres high for milk, whey and water; pipe and service bridges, salt silos and brine mixing; sprinkler storage tank and pumphouse; waste water treatment plant comprising balancing, waste water treatment and sludge drying and a truck wash; waste recovery compound and store and a monitoring building. Site development works will include earthworks; security fencing; traffic barriers; a new entrance; internal roads and paved areas; car, truck and bicycle parking; drains and services; connection to existing water main and foul drain in the Park and a treated wastewater outfall pipeline from the on site wastewater treatment plant to the existing Irish Water outfall within the Waterford City Wastewater Treatment Plant at Gorteens; attenuation ponds; fire water retention pond; site lighting; signage and landscaping. The Application also seeks retention of and alterations to the existing construction compound which will be removed on completion of the works. The development consists of an activity for which an Industrial Emissions Licence is required. An Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) and a Natura Impact Statement (NIS) will be submitted to the Planning Authority with the application

For development at this site. The development consists of the installation of a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) unit including a 7.55m high stack, stack access ladder and platform, improvements to the internal estate road and ancillary site works at the permitted cheese manufacturing plant, planning permission reference no. 19/668 (APB-306136-19). An Industrial Emissions Licence is required for the cheese manufacturing plant and the proposed development. A Natura Impact Statement will also be submitted with the application.
