Amendment to a permitted Solar Farm (Tipperary County Council Reg. Refs. 16/600565, 20/46, 21/446 and 22/152) at Monaraha, Cahir, County Tipperary. The development will consist of the provision of 2 No. weather stations, provision of additional CCTV and associated electrical ducting and amendment of Condition No. 2 of the permission (Tipperary County Council Reg. Ref. 20/46) to provide for the substation compound and associated infrastructure as a permanent development which is not required to be removed from site after 35 years from the date of commencement
To amend the solar farm permitted on the site under Tipperary County Council Reg. Ref. 20/46 and consists of a revised solar PV panel arrangement resulting in an increase in the overall panel footprint extent; a reconfigured internal – access route network resulting in a decrease to the overall network length; the reduction in the number of transformer stations from 16 No. to 5 No. and the provision of string inverters to the rear of panel arrays. It is also proposed to reduce the previously permitted maximum export capacity to 19 MW.
Amend previously approved planning consent 16/600565 for a grant of a ten-year planning permission for a solar farm, the development will consist of an increase in the previously approved mega wattage output; amendments to the previously approved site layout including a reduced number of overall panel modules; additional and revised battery storage units; additional and revised designs for inverters and field transformers; the inclusion of switchgear substations; revisions to the panel elevations to include bi-facial panels; revisions to the panel dimensions to include an increased panel (and leg) max height of no more than 2.5m; revisions to the individual panel width and length; and a reduction in the spacing between the panel rows. Permission is also sought to extend the operational lifespan of the solar farm from 30 years to 35 years from commissioning to the grid
