Planning precedent report

For modifications to previously approved planning permission (Ref No. P23/60553) for works to the existing golf club house and external carpark at Lahinch Golf Club, Liscannor Road, Lahinch, Co Clare V95 VEP8 to include: a) Proposed re-positioning of previously approved vehicular and pedestrian entranceways to a location approx. 15m to the north of approved location; b) Proposed increase to practice putting green area and revised carpark area to provide 117 No spaces (in lieu of 129 No spaces); c) Proposed re-use and modification of existing storage building to provide refuse storage facility

For the refurbishment, alterations and extensions to the existing golf club house and external carpark area. a) Extensions (286sqm) and alterations to the existing club house to provide new pitched roofs (including increased roof pitch), extension to bar/restaurant/kitchen at first floor level, external wall finishes and glazing systems, new internal stairs, lift, ancillary and staff welfare facilities; b) Single storey flat roofed entrance canopy; c) Alterations to the façade including new external terraces and stairs; d) Two storey pitched roof golf shop with storage areas/admin and ESB substation (406sqm); e) Single storey flat roof facilities/refuse block (40sqm); f) Relocated vehicular entrance; g) Revised car park layout (total 129 no. spaces), relocated putting green, new entrance steps and external landscape design; h) All associated site works, drainage, lighting, roof level PV panels, external roof level plant and external building signage

To construct a Golf Academy Facility to include a trackman driving range, putting studios, golf simulators and nets, club repair room, toilets, mechanical and electrical room, porch, entrance corridor and all associated site works.

To RETAIN the windows, door and roof light as constructed on the dwelling house and the rear timber fence along with associated site works.

For the following a) to construct a single storey rear extension, b) to provide a new glazed façade to the external plaza area on the front elevation, c) to apply new wall and glazing finishes to the front elevation of the SeaWorld Complex, d) to construct a new first floor area over the gym/training area to be used in conjunction with existing facilities / activities taking place in the Seaworld Complex, e) to move the children's swimming pool into the main swim hall area and to change the use of this area to provide a new beach/surf shop and to extend the existing retail already in place, f) to install new rooflights and make good works to existing roof, g) to carry out internal changes to the main swim hall, changing room areas, gym area and main entrance area, along with associated site works

For the following: a) to erect 2 number 5m high pellet silos and 5.2m high screening to enclose silos at rear of existing building and provide internal M & E room associated with same, b) 15 Number geo-thermal boreholes in connection with proposed heating system, c) to remove existing fitness area at rear of building and replace with new changing rooms, toilet and store to rear of building, d( provide a total of 420 number PV Panels on existing roofs as per associated drawings, e) provide for new rooflights, including all ancillary associated site works
