Development on the Barrow Navigation (The River Barrow) through the townlands of: NEWACRE, NEWGARDEN, BESTFIELD or DUNGANSTOWN, STRAWHALL, CARLOW, GRAIGUE, CLOGRENAN, KILLEESHAL, BALLINABRANNAGH, BALLYGOWAN, PART OF TOMARD UPPER (ED Rathornan), TOMARD UPPER (ED Rathornan), PART OF TOMARD LOWER (ED Clogrenan), RATHORNAN, RATHVINDEN, BALLYKNOCKAN (Idrone West By), LEIGHLINBRIDGE, RATHELLIN, DUNLECKNY, MONEYBEG, KILREE, SLIGUFF, KILGRANEY (Idrone East By), CLOMONEY (Idrone East By), BALLYELLIN and TOMDARRAGH, BALLYTEIGELEA (Idrone East By), BORRIS, BALLYNAGRANE, COURNELLAN, BALLYKEENAN (St. Mullin's Lower By), HARRISTOWN, TINNAHINCH, KNOCKEEN, CARRIGLEAD, BAHANA, St. MULLIN'S The proposal consists of the development of a multi-use shared leisure route (Blueway), approximately 115 Kilometres (KM) in length, on the existing navigation towpath, which is a National Waymarked Way. This will include tailored surface finishes, information, directional and safety signage, and all other associated ancillary works. The route traverses parts of counties Kildare, Laois and Carlow. The route commences in Lowtown, County Kildare, passes through County Laois and finishes in St. Mullins, County Carlow. Approximately 52KM of the route is in County Carlow, 16KM in County Laois and 47 KM in County Kildare. The proposal will involve works to or within the curtilage of the following protected structures: An Environmental Impact Statement and Natura Impact Statement have been prepared in respect of the project and are submitted with the application.

For (a) demolition of existing single and two storey extension to the rear of the existing dwelling, (b) alterations to existing dwelling to include new fenestration and velux type rooflights, (c) the construction of a single storey extension to the side of the existing dwelling, (d) the construction of a two storey pitched roof extension to the rear of the existing dwelling, (e) installation of a new wastewater treatment system, soil polishing filter and rainwater soakaway pit, (f) partial demolition of existing entrance piers, removal of existing cattle grid and erection of new entrance gates and (g) all associated site works

To construct/erect a new single storey extension to the rear of the existing farmhouse dwelling, refurbishment & alteration of the existing farmhouse dwelling, replacement/upgrading of the existing site effluent system with appropriate modern system, and all associated works and site works.

Construction of two livestock house extensions and overhang, slatted slurry tank, external bulk tank, agricultural building incorporating milking parlour, dairy isolation area and office and associated works

Retention of (a) an extension to the rear of dwelling, (b) an attached domestic store to the rear and side of dwelling, (c ) detached greenhouse and planning permission for a proposed first floor extension to the side of existing dwelling and the construction of a proposed detached domestic garage with all associated site development works

The erection of a storage shed for the storage of vintage machinery and all associated site works.
