The development consists of (1) Medium Voltage (MV) electricity system improvement by the installation of a new 20kV electricity underground cable (UGC) by means horizontal directional drilling (HDD) under the River Barrow to connect the Lake Region circuit at Marshmeadows, County Wexford to the Beechgrove circuit at Raheen, Rosbercon, County Kilkenny. From end to end the UGC measures approximately 580m. The majority of the circuit, approximately 365m will be installed by HDD under the River Barrow.
