Large Scale Residential Development. The proposed development will consist of amendments to permitted development Reg. Erection of a new 2.1m High Boundary Fence at the National Botanic Gardens, Kilmacurragh, Kilmacurra West, Kilbride, Co. Wicklow, A67 YR12 along the roadside boundary to the L1152 from the Southern Gate into the National Botanic Gardens to Barndarrig GAA Grounds along with a new fence to the Roadside Boundary between The National Botanic Gardens and the laneway to the North of Barndarrig GAA. The proposed fence will be a wire mesh fence with interim concrete posts which will be set back from the road edge. The works include the removal of the existing barbed wire fence and the replacement of the existing roadside gates with new gates. These works are being undertaken to reduce illegal dumping along the side of the Public Road in this area. The site is located on the boundary of National Botanic Gardens, Kilmacurragh on the Historic Site of Westaston Demesne. The House at Kilmacurragh is a protected structure and is contained on the Record of Protected Structures in the Wicklow County Development Plan 2016 – 2022. The Historic Site of Westaston Demesne is a Recorded Monument Protected under Section 12 of the National Monuments (Amendment) Act, 1994
