No. 3), comprising revisions to a previously approved planning application (Ref. No. 2762/18). The approved planning application (Ref. PROTECTED STRUCTURE: Permission for development Nos. 43-44 Temple Bar (The Temple Bar Trading Company) which is partially internally linked to Nos. 47-48 Temple Bar and Nos. 14-16 Temple Lane South (The Temple Bar Pub), Dublin 2. No. 48 Temple Bar is a protected structure, however no works are proposed at or adjacent to no. 48 Temple Bar. The development which is proposed within nos. 43-44 Temple Bar will principally consist of the change of use from ancillary back-of-house retail storage room to ancillary public house preparation area (11.5 sq m), including the replacement of a 1.5 metre length of internal connecting wall with a preparatory counter. This proposed application will supersede the partially implanted permission granted under DCC Reg. Ref. 4715/18, which principally proposed the provision of a ground floor accessible WC (implemented); and the change of use (90 sq. m) of the rear of the first floor of nos. 43-44 temple Bar from ancillary retail storage to public house toilets and cleaner's store (not implemented). Approved screening louvres on roof are extended to cover additional plant area.
The proposed development will include upgrade and refurbishment works to existing building at 1-3 Westmoreland Street (approximately 1080 sq.m) and its basement and provide a new extension at roof level to provide hotel accommodation and associated ancillary facilities. Permission for development on this site of c. 0.129 hectares at lands known as the site of the former Clerys warehouse building at Nos. 13, 14 and 15 Earl Place, Dublin 1. The hotel will comprise 229 No. bedrooms and related ancillary hotel facilities including reception area, lobby, licenced restaurant with lounge and public bar, cold room, kitchen, toilets, storage areas, administration and staff facilities, plant room, refuse area and bicycle parking area) with a total new build gross floor of c. 8,602 sq m (including c. 319 sq m basement, and ESB substation and switch room). PROTECTED STRUCTURE: Numbers 14 and 15 D'Olier Street are protected structures (RPS Nos. 2299 and 2300 respectively). The proposed development consists of the change of use of the subject unit from retail services/hair salon use to use as fitness and yoga studio, provision of signage within two signage zones to the existing unit facade, and all associated and ancillary works.
RETENTION: the development consists of the retention of an existing external awning over the front entrance of the unit located on the ground floor, the retention of the external outdoor seating which include 4 no. tables and 10 no. chairs and the retention of circa 1.8m surrounds bounding the external outdoor seating.
PROTECTED STRUCTURE: PERMISSION & RETENTION: For development at the Annex Building (a Protected Structure Ref: 8830). The proposed development relates to: 1. Retention permission for the setting back of the entire northern elevation of the Annex Building by 0.65m. This was carried out during construction to ensure that the permitted building was not encroaching onto the existing Taken In Charge area by Dublin City Council. This reduced the permitted unit kiosk from 13 sq.m to 10.6 sq.m. and reduced the delivery area for the main Annex Building from 7.2 sq.m to 5.9.sqm. The unit will accord with the permitted opening hours of the wider Central Plaza restaurant/café units of 7am to 11.30pm. Alterations to the permitted signage to allow for 2 no. new signage on the north elevation of 2.15m x 0.75m and west elevation of 2.65m x 0.75m and west elevation of 2.65m x 0.75m.

PROTECTED STRUCTURE: Planning permission for the retention of two external banners for a further temporary period up to 31st December 2023 at the House of Lords entrance portico (Westmoreland Street entrance), Bank of Ireland, College Green, Dublin, D02 VR66 (Bank of Ireland is a Protected Structure). The banners are to identify the exhibition "Seamus Heaney: Listen Now Again" in the public Cultural and Heritage Centre in the Bank of Ireland and were previously granted temporary permission in accordance with Dublin City Council planning Reg. Ref. 3432/18. The banners measure 4m high and 2m wide and are suspended between two pairs of columns at the portico, facing toward College Street. The banners are positioned approximately 5.25m clear above ground level and supported off stainless steel (with neoprane protective cushioning) non-invasive fixings on the stone columns at top and bottom.
The development will consist of the replacement of the existing telephone kiosks with a new Telephone Kiosk with integral communication unit and a 1.53sq.metre digital advertising display. The proposed structure has an overall height 2.43m, a depth of 0.762m and a width 1.096m.
