ESB sub-stations; Building signage zones and retractable canopies. The application site is within the O'Connell Street Architectural Conservation Area. PROTECTED STRUCTURE: To convert the existing LED advertising sign (3.00 m high by 6.00 m wide and 150 mm deep) at first/ second floor level at 34 Bachelors Walk, Dublin 1, (a Protected Structure) to a LED display sign which will carry a series of alternating static advertisements (6 per minute). If granted, the permission would be on the basis of decommissioning in line with the outdoor advertising policy of Dublin City Council, outdoor signage on the upper two floors of 34 Bachelors Walk, Dublin 1.
RETENTION: Retention Permission for a temporary period of 4 years and 11 months, at a site at the rear of Nos. 46-49 O'Connell Street Upper, Dublin 1, situated on Moore Lane for development comprising the continued use of a commercial, off-street car park located over two levels (c. 2,644 sq. m GFA) and associated signage, at the rear of No. 46-49 O'Connell Street Upper, Dublin 1. PROTECTED STRUCTURE: The proposed development comprises the adaptive change of use from former hotel to a private members club, with associated repair and conservation works of existing masonry, external and internal joinery, plasterwork and features of significance; including: External works at No.42 O'Connell Street Upper: Temporary access to facilitate works via existing openings through to No.41 O'Connell Street Upper; Permanent repair of the main roof, chimneys, parapets, rooflights and rainwater goods; Front façade structural and brick masonry repair and re-wigging; Rear façade structural repair and replacement of render; and, Perforation of northern gable for opening to connect with the stair/life core. PROTECTED STRUCTURE: Planning permission for development at this 0.0091 Ha (91 sq m) site at No.33 Bachelors Walk, Dublin 1 (A Protected Structure). The development will principally consist of: the part change of use of 61 sqm at ground floor level from retail and ancillary office use to café and the change of use of 190 sqm at first to fourth floor levels from office use to residential use. There are 4 No. apartments proposed in the residential portion of the building comprising 4 No. one bed units ranging in size from 46 sqm to 48 sqm.
