The proposed development consists of four signs as follows (a) 2 no. small plaques (0.4m x 0.8m) on either side of the front entrance on Dame Street, (b) 1 no. internally illuminated white flex face sign (4m width and 1m height) with the company name in black lettering over the front entrance facing Dame Street and (c) 1 no. sign consisting a of white illuminated letters (2.99m width and 0.54m height) mounted on a stainless steel rail on the rear of the building inside the glass balustrade at podium level facing Cope Street (northern elevation). All signs contain the letters 'wework, the future occupants of the office area within the building. The exterior of this former Central Bank building is a Protected Structure.
PROTECTED STRUCTURE: The proposed development consists of changes to the existing entrance doorway at the lower Plaza level (-1) which gives access to the hospitality area at roof level. The development proposes to replace the existing glazed doors with new recessed doors, set back 3.1 metres to create a new portal giving access to a new entrance doorway, provide a vertical identification sign 3m high by 0.7m wide to side of new portal and provide a new retractable canopy over entrance. The portal can be closed to access when required by way of a bi-fold gate.
PROTECTED STRUCTURE: The development consists of the infilling of a void area of 20.5 sq.m at the tenth floor (hospitality level 2) for use as additional floor area and for the demolition of 5 sq.m at that level, so as to create a new stair case between hospitality levels one and two. This development is proposed within an area approved for the redevelopment of the existing 9th and 10th floors to incorporate a new hospitality area which includes for a new restaurant and bar of 1,462 sq.m, with an accessible viewing terrace at 10th floor level on all sides of the building. The hospitality area is access from a dedicated entrance at - 1 level from the front Plaza on Dame Street.
Permission for development at a site of 0.27ha a 1 Central Plaza, Dame St, Dublin 2, D02 P656. The site is bound by Dame Street to the South, existing Annex building and Commercial Buildings to the East, Cope Street to the North and Fownes Street Upper to the West. The development consists of a minor amendments to permitted development at -2, -1 and ground floor levels, as permitted under Plan. Reg. Ref.: 3620/17 (ABP Reg. Ref.: PL29S.300063) and amended under Plan. Reg. Ref.: 4566/18 and 3275/19. The application includes amendments to the permitted retail units, plant/back of house and plant areas as follows: 1. The amalgamation of unit A and A2 with a minor decrease in combined floorspace from 1197sq.m to 1188 sq.m. This unit is referred to as Unit A. 2. Change of use of unit A (1188 sq.m) and Unit A1 (355 sq.m) from permitted retail to leisure/tourism use. 3. Relocation of ICT Room, Staff Welfare and Remote Storage Facilitates at Basement -1. 4. Alterations to the permitted public realm on the western side of the site along Fownes Street Upper and subsequent alterations to the western elevation of Units E and F.
