The development consists of a glazed section of the façade, on three upper floors, of the hospital emergency extension block facing onto Eccles Street. The seven to nine storey emergency extension block has a six storey (south) façade facing onto Eccles Street [plus a lower ground level (00) below the street level of Eccles Street]. The development to be retained consists of a glazed section of the façade facing onto Eccles Street, with vertical pre-cast concrete louvres to the windows, at floor levels No. 4,5,6. On each of the three floors the window assembly measures 3.150m in height and 7.225m in width, divided into six lights by the vertical pre-cast concrete louvres. Overall, the relevant section of the façade is 10.4m vertically (including intervening floor structure) and 7.225m wide. Permission was granted for the emergency extension block per Reg. Ref. 3400/21 (ABP 312766-22).
