For the construction of an internal first floor mezzanine to the North East, North West and South West sides of Building 2, Block K, Airport Avenue, Shannon Free Zone, Shannon, County Clare. The proposed mezzanine floor of 1517m2 will house laboratories and plant. The existing ground floor will house offices, clean rooms and associated welfare facilities
The development consists of the alterations to the previously granted permissions (Planning Ref: P20/478 & P20/416) comprising of revisions including, the relocation of the external enclosed yard from an East/West orientation to a North/South orientation, relocating louvres to the elevations to suit servicing requirements, amending the roof layout & positions of roof cowls and several internal layout amendments to the PMU Warehouse area of the plan. Note: there is no increase in floor area, the mezzanine grid floor supports additional plant only. The proposed development also includes the addition of a new canopy structure above a new entrance to the South West Elevation, a new roller shutter door, a new window and external door to an office space and obscure glazing for privacy along the North West Elevation
The development will consist of the construction of a mezzanine floor to the North West side of the building which will house laboratories and plant (366m2) and a separate plant deck (156.5m2). The total additional mezzanine floor area is 522.5m2. The Ground floor will house the main office and pharmaceutical pods. We are also proposing minor changes to the elevations to include the developed and fixed louvre positions associated with the plant
