A) The construction of a new Coast Guard Station to facilitate the Irish Coast Guard search and rescue services for local emergency rescue. The proposed building will consist of a single storey vehicle store with a flat roof and a two-storey accommodation block with a meeting room, viewing area and plant equipment at first floor level. The proposed building will have a combined floor area of 405 square metres. The building has a maximum overall height of 7.625m above ground floor level. Proposed external finishes include aluminium-framed windows, local stone cladding, timber panelling and translucent glass walls and concrete plinth. b) Construction of an out building for the display of a rocket cart and to house generator and fuel store, with a floor area of 56 square metres and a height of 3.53 metres above ground floor level. Total floor area of the development including the out building is 461 square metres. c) Construction of two new vehicular access points, both to the north-west of the site. One is for the use of staff and visitors, and the other is for the egress of Coast Guard vehicles only. d) Provision of 10 no. parking spaces, an electric vehicle charging point and a vehicle wash down area with petrol interceptor on hard landscaping. e) Construction of an 18m radio aerial mast, entrance signage, and 3 no. 8m flagpoles. f) Construction of associated site works including gate to vehicular entrance, new waste water treatment system and external lighting. g) Site boundaries of post and wire fencing and stone wall to the road frontageDecision record indexedDecision12 October 2022View record
