Permission is also sought for; the decommissioning of an existing septic tank and provision of an effluent treatment system and all associated services for the proposed development, the demolition of an old structure/shack on the site, the retention of concrete block support walls over part of the ground floor level of the structure. These walls serve to support the only remaining external wall of the structure.All other works previously carried out on this structure were carried out with the approval of and grant aided by Galway County Council. These works included: Restorative work in the basement, the provision of a concrete slab at ground floor level, the repair and rendering of a two-bay section of the existing rear wall. This application is accompanied by an Architectural Heritage Impact Assessment. Gross floor space of proposed works: 1050.90 sqm
