Within County Mayo, the proposed development will take place within the following townlands: DALGAN DEMESNE, POLLBAUN, CARROWBEG WEST, GORTEENS, SEEFIN, BROOKHILL, CARROWMORE, BALLYHANKEEN, RUSHBROOK EAST, BALLYCUSHEEN, SCARDAUN WEST, MILLBROOK, MILFORD DEMESNE, CURRAGHADOOEY, LISDUFF, RATHGRANAGHER (MILLER), DRUMMIN WEST, CARROWBEG EAST, RATHGRANAGHER (LINDSAY), CROSSBOYNE, KILBEG-MALONE, DAVROS, DERRY, CLARE, GREAGHANS, COOLROE, ROOS, LEEDAUN The Cashla - Dalton 110 kV OHL circuit runs through County Galway and County Mayo. It is 57.7 km in length and travels from Cashla 110 kV substation in Barrettspark in central County Galway and traverses northwest to the Dalton 110 kV substation (County Mayo). The OHL has a total of 271no. supporting structures. Within the functional area of Mayo County Council, there is 24.7 km of the existing OHL circuit, with 111no. structures. Within the functional area of Galway County Council there is 33.0 km, with 160no. structures. Separate planning applications will be lodged with Galway County Council. The proposed development within Co. Mayo will comprise: • the replacement (“restringing”) of the existing OHL circuit conductor wires with a new higher capacity conductor between structure no. 160 and Dalton 110 kV substation; • the replacement of angle masts in-situ at 6no. locations, with similar structures; • the strengthening of tower foundations at 2no. locations; • the strengthening of towers (i.e., member replacement) at 6no. locations; • the painting of towers at 7no. locations; • shear block remedial works of a tower at 1no. location; • the replacement of polesets at 83no. locations, with similar structures. The change in structures will result in standardised heights from 16 m to 23 m along the circuit. The majority of the height increases will be between 0.1 m and 2.0 m (at 70no. structures), with 12no. structure replacements resulting in no change in height. Structure no. 263 will increase in height by 7.0m; • the replacement of insulating and ancillary hardware at all structures from structure no. 161 to 271; • the replacement of earthwire between structure no. 261 and structure no. 271; • the replacement of stay wire / anchors and associated fittings at 7no. locations; • the replacement of crossarms at 7

Development of a recreational shared cycle and walkway located on Bord Na Móna lands within the townlands of Derries, Carrickobreen, Bunnahinly, Cloonbonny, Corralena, Kilgarvan Glebe, Ballynahownwood and Ballynahown in County Westmeath. A section of the narrow-gauge railway track of the railway line in Cloonbonny and Ballynahownwood townlands is a Protected Structure Ref No. 035-009 which runs adjacent to the proposed cycle and walkway. The development proposes the following: The delivery of a shared cycle and walkway on Bord na Móna lands. This will include the repurposing of 3412 meters of existing former rail bed, 3131 meters along existing bog headlands / former high fields, and 473 meters along pre-existing machine access routes. The construction of car and / or bicycle parking facilities at a number of gateway locations along the proposed route and the provision of EV Charging spaces at the Gateway locations. This will include: 1 no. Type 2 Gateway, 2 no. Rest Points. The Type 2 Gateway (WH-02-01) will include the provision of a walker totem, modular pavilion feature, and upgrades to the entrance from the local road. Upgrade works to River Bridge (21-200). Upgrade works to 4 no. local access road crossings, and 3 no. agricultural crossings. The erection of wayfinding and interpretative signage at Gateway locations along the route. The implementation of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) nature based drainage proposals at the Gateway locations to cater for surface water drainage at car park locations. Refurbish existing 43 no. electricity transmission towers along a c. 7.3 km section (length) of the Coolnabacky – Portlaoise 110 kV overhead line (OHL). The total area to which the application relates is c.37 hectares. The development will consist of refurbishment works to the OHL. Refurbishment works will vary from each of the existing 43 no. existing electricity transmission towers and will comprise: (i) Replacement (“restringing”) of the existing overhead line conductor wires with a higher capacity conductor; (ii) Installation of a new fibre communication connection between existing wooden intermediate poleset (IMP) 118 to existing angle mast (AM) 145; (iii) Strengthening of 4 no. existing AMs and associated foundations; (iv) Replacement of 26 of the 37 no. existing IMPs with similar structures, except for existing IMP105 to be upgraded to AM (AM105). Replacements will be in situ or if required, immediately adjacent, and height will range from c. 0m to 2.7m higher, with no change in height in 19 no. existing IMPs and a maximal increase of c. 2.7m at existing IMP127; (v) Replacement of 1 no. AM (AM145) with a Line Cable Interface Mast (LCIM) and removal of 1 no. AM (AM146); (vi) Replacement of crossarms at 12 no. existing IMPs; (vii) Replacement of insulating and ancillary hardware at structures; (viii) All associated site development works along the overhead line including vegetation clearance and management, disassembly and reassembly of gate posts/piers and removal and reinstatement of existing fencing, painting, installation of identification and information labels/notices, and ancillary works within the existing Portlaoise substation, necessary to facilitate the refurbishment works of the overhead line; and, (ix) Other temporary associated and ancillary site development works required for the proposed refurbishment works including the provision of a construction compound located at either Kylekiproe or Esker, access routes, silt traps, silt fences, stone tracks, ground protection mats, infrastructure crossing support systems (e.g., guard poles and goal posts) and temporary watercourse crossings. Where required, an aerial catenary stringing system (ACSS) will be used to facilitate stringing operations over major obstacles (e.g., national roads, rivers, etc.).
