To make amendments to a previous granted planning Ref No. P21-738 which included (1) Demolition of an existing bungalow (2) Construct a new ESB Substation and (3) Construct mixed use industrial units with office accommodation for industrial, light industrial, storage, warehouse and logistic usage including ancillary siteworks all at Western Business Park, Caherteige and Drumgeely Shannon, Co Clare. The amendments to the previous granted planning include the following: (a) relocating the ESB substation from the eastern elevation of Unit 7 to the western elevation of Unit 6, (b) revising the internal layout and elevation of Unit 6 and raising the height of Unit 6 from 16.4m OD to 18.4m

Proposes to carry out the following development; The refurbishment of Drumgeely Neighbourhood Centre. The proposed development will include: 1) Removal of all existing walls, flower beds and hard surfaces. 2) Install new level access surfaces to the entire public realm area including paving, low level vegetation and grass lawn areas, incorporating Sustainable drainage system (SuDS). 3) Installation of seating areas, benches, covered canopy area and bicycle parking stands. 4) Provision of two Accessible Disabled Parking Spaces and ten car parking spaces on the perimeter of the site. 5) Provision of public lighting and low-level ambient lighting. 6) Construction of a raised flower bed re-using the natural stone from the existing raised grass area. 6) Connect to existing onsite drainage services. 7) The installation of associated signage. 8) All ancillary site works. In accordance with the Habitats Directive, Clare County Council has carried out Appropriate Assessment Screening on the project. An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening determination has been made and Clare County Council concludes that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development and as such an EIA is not required.
