The change of usage from holiday home use to permanent residential use
A 10 year planning permission on lands including Straboe and Killerig, Carlow, Co. Carlow. The development will consist of permission for a Solar PV Energy Development with associated Battery Energy Storage System Compound with a total site area of c. 132.28ha, to include solar panels mounted on steel support structures, associated cabling and ducting, inverters, transformers, switchgear substations, auxiliary transformer, permanent storage containers, monitoring houses, composting toilet, BESS customer substation, battery blocks, BESS inverters and PCS (twin skid), BESS interface cabinets (BIC), backup generator, temporary construction compounds, tracks, boundary security fencing and security gates, CCTV, landscaping and ancillary works, with a 40year operational period. It is proposed that the Proposed Development will be accessed from four separate access points which will include (i) a new access created off the R726; (ii) a new entrance off Straboe Lane; (iii) a widened and improved existing entrance off Straboe lane; and (iv) use of an existing and previously consented entrance off the R418. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been submitted to the Planning Authority with the Application

A ten-year planning permission for a solar energy development with a total site area of 77 hectares comprising (i) photovoltaic solar panels on steel mounting frames; (ii) electrical inverters; (iii) electrical power stations; (iv) underground electrical and communications cabling; (v) containerised battery energy storage facility; (vi) the upgrade of 2 no. disused site entrances, decommissioning of 2 no. existing site entrances and development of 1 no. new site entrance; (vii) on-site access tracks; (viii) a temporary construction compound; (ix) security fencing and security gates; (x) pole-mounted security cameras; and (xi) all associated site and ancillary site development, landscaping and reinstatement works. The operational lifetime of the proposed development is 35-years. The planning application is accompanied by an Environmental Impact Assessment Screening Report and an Appropriate Assessment Screening Report
Alteration and extension to existing dwelling and all associated site works
The erection of 8 no. 21m high flood lights to the perimeter of the existing football pitch and all associated site works. There will be 4no. Lighting column of each side of the pitch to provide enough luminance on the pitch to allow football/hurling matches to be played.

The construction of a two storey residential dwelling, detached garage, packaged wastewater treatment system and soil polishing filter, bored well and all associated site works
Permission for the construction of a domestic garage/store and all associated site works. (The proposed site is situated approximately 300m N-East of a protected structure CW 73)
For proposed works which will include a solar farm on an area of approximately 27.0 hectares, comprising photovoltaic panels on ground mounted frames, 1 No., onsite 38kV substation, an energy storage system (4 No. units), 10 No. single storey inverter/transformer stations, security fencing, a palisade double security gate, 2 No. storage containers, CCTV, a temporary construction stage wheelwash system and all ancillary development works. Elgin Energy Services Ltd are applying for the proposed solar farm to have planning permission that is effective for 10 years (and an operational period of 35 years). The planning application incudes a Natura Impact Statement
