    The development of a new electrical substation and additional equipment in the existing ESB Kilteel 110kV Substation to facilitate the connection of the Porterstown Battery Storage Facility (Planning Ref 18/247) The total site area is 1.2 hectares. The new electrical substation will include 1 control building (GRP Containerised Substation), a 110kV transformer, surge arresters, instrument transformers, a 110kV busbar connecting to the ESB substation, a lightning mast and other electrical equipment to be installed on concrete support structures. Additional features will include palisade fencing, security gates, access tracks, external lighting, drainage, associated electrical cabling and ducting, CCTV security monitoring system, landscaping and all associated ancillary infrastructure. The additional equipment to be installed in the ESB substation to facilitate the connection of the new substation will include a 110kV busbar extension, a 110kV transformer bay, a 110kV coupler bay, a 110kV busbar connecting to the new substation, an interface kiosk, palisade fencing, a lightning mast and all associated ancillary infrastructure required for the connectionDecision record indexed
