Permission for proposed works consisting of: St. Davnet’s Hospital is listed as a protected structure under the current Monaghan County Development Plan 2019-2025 (RPS no. 41400945). It is proposed to carry out refurbishment works to the 2 no. buildings which are located to the south west (Building 1) and north east (Building 2) of the main building on the site. Building 1 was historically known as Ward 1,2 & 5 and is listed on the NIAH under reference no. 41303049, Building 2 was historically known as Ward 6,7 & 11 and is listed on the NIAH under reference no. 41303047. The proposed refurbishment works comprise of: (a) the careful removal of the existing non-original metal windows from Building 1 & Building 2 referred to above, (b) the installation of replacement metal (aluminium) windows, the design of which will match the appearance of the existing windows in the adjoining main building (c) carry out all associated works to make good reveals, heads, cills etc. in accordance with best conservation practiceDecision record indexedDecision26 March 2024View record
