The development comprises Retention Permission for a temporary period of maximum 5 years for the Change of Use from Residential House in an Architectural Conservation Area to a Security Office for monitoring and controlling vehicular access to St. Ita’s Hospital Campus. No demolitions, alterations or construction works are proposed to the building as part of this application. The proposed retention is sought for a temporary period of Maximum 5 years, after which the structure will cease to be used as a Security Office and will revert to a Residential Use.

Planning Permission for proposed refurbishment works to a Protected Structure (RPS Ref No. 819) at the following site address: Laundry Building (Building 16), St. Ita's Hospital Demesne, Portrane, Co. Dublin (an Architectural Conservation Area ACA 05), consisting of the removal of the existing non-original corrugated metal sheeting roof finish and reinstatement of the original natural slate finish to the roof pitches on the west side of the building (total roof area 483 sq m), renewal of lead valleys/gutters, replacement of non-original PVC rainwater goods with cast iron, any associated repair/refurbishment to the roof structure and the refurbishment of lantern rooflights within these roof areas including replacement on non-original glazed top-lights & glazing bars with a patent glazing system and installation of secondary glazing to rear of louvered rooflight lanterns.
